Man charged in connection to several retail thefts in August

Winnipeg police say a 34-year-old man has been charged in connection to several robberies in August.

WPS says between Aug. 6 and 28, several retail stores reported thefts of merchandise totalling $2,800.

Through an investigation, police were able to identify a man that was believed to have been involved and took him into custody at a home in the William Whyte neighbourhood on Sept. 25.

Since, 34-year-old Joshua Michael McPherson has been charged with theft under $5,000, and failing to comply with a probation order. Police also note he had several outstanding warrants.
