Winnipeg police seek public’s help to recover stolen paintings worth $9,000

Winnipeg police is appealing to the public for information after two valuable paintings, valued at a combined $9,000, were stolen from a local warehouse.
Police say they learned that between 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 14 and 5:24 a.m. on Aug. 15, unknown suspect(s) broke into a warehouse in the 200 block of McDermot Ave., stole two paintings and fled the building.
The investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information, or any security, cell phone, or dashcam video in and around the time of the incident, is asked to contact the Major Crimes unit at 204-986-6219. They can also contact Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS or via website, anonymously.
