Winnipeg police issue arrest warrant for man believed to be connected to several robberies

Winnipeg police are looking for a man believed to be connected to several robberies in the Polo Park and Crestview neighbourhoods.
WPS says they’ve been able to identify the man in question as 48-year-old Ryan William Allingham, noting an arrest warrant has been issued.
Police believe Allingham is connected to several incidents — listed below — mostly involving elderly women, noting all the incidents have happened in parking lots.
- August 20, 2025: Just before 3:30 p.m., the suspect approached the victim from behind on a bicycle, in a hotel parking lot, in the 2500 block of Portage Avenue, and grabbed the victim’s purse away from her and fled the area.
- August 20, 2025: Just before 4:30 p.m., the suspect approached the victim from behind, in a retail parking lot, in the 800 block of St. James Street, and grabbed the victim’s lunch bag away from her and fled the area.
- August 20, 2025: Just before 4:30 p.m., the suspect approached the victim from behind on a bicycle, in a retail parking lot, in the 1600 block of Ness Avenue, and grabbing at the victim’s purse before fleeing the area. The victim was able to hold onto her purse and fell as a result of the incident, suffering a broken wrist.
- August 20, 2025: Around 4:30 p.m., the suspect approached the victim from behind on a bicycle, in a retail parking lot, in the 1600 block of Ness Avenue, and grabbed the victim’s purse from her shopping cart and fled the area.
- August 25, 2025: Just after 11:30 a.m., the suspect approached the victim from behind on a bicycle, in a retail parking lot, in the 3400 block of Portage Avenue, and grabbed the victim’s purse away from her and fled the area.
Police say Allingham is considered to be dangerous and are warning the public not to approach him.
