Steinbach Area Animal Rescue desperate for volunteers after overnight rainfall overnight caused flooding

A Steinbach Area Animal Rescue is working overtime to find fosters for all their animals, after a massive rain storm overnight flooded their building with almost two metres of water.
According to Environment Canada, the city was hit with 103 millimeters of rain within a four-hour time period.
The shelter says they have 22 cats and kittens in the building and are in desperate need of volunteers to help take care of the animals.
Their basement was full of food as they were preparing for a garage sale, and now all of the items could be ruined.
Rain is expected in Steinbach over the next five days, and the shelter says they are on guard.
