Just after midnight on Saturday, the firefighters responded to reports of a fire in the 400 block of Redwood Ave.
Upon arrival crews found two houses on fire, one of which was vacant and boarded. The fire was declared under control approximately an hour later, and no injuries were reported.
The fire is under investigation. According to WFPS, the vacant house was previously damaged by fires on five separate occasions in just two years, with three fires reported last year, and another two – the year before.
The firefighters are urging residents to call 9-1-1 if they see someone entering a vacant building.
