Music venue in Winnipeg’s Exchange District damaged by fire

A building in Winnipeg’s Exchange District that hosts live music has been damaged by a fire on Friday morning.

At 5:02 a.m.the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a commercial building in the 200 block of Bannatyne Avenue.

Officials report that heavy smoke was seen coming from the building, the blaze was under control by 6:20 a.m.

No injures were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
