Winnipeg high-rise apartment building caught fire

Winnipeg’s firefighters fought a high-rise residential fire on Saturday afternoon. At 3:58 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a high-rise apartment building in the 1600 block of Henderson Highway for reports of a fire.
Officials say additional crews were dispatched since the building was a high-rise.
At the scene, firefighters found thick smoke and fire. Residents in the building sheltered in place during the crews’ work.
The fire was under control at 5:17 p.m. No injuries were reported.
Investigation is ongoing.
