A 67-year-old woman has been charged with manslaughter a little over two-and-a-half years after a man’s death in The Maples.
On Dec. 8, 2022, officers found the body of a man inside a home on Sardelle Crescent while responding to a suspicious death.
The deceased was identified as 65-year-old David Zurawell.
The Winnipeg Police Service’s homicide unit investigated, and received authorization from the Manitoba Prosecution Services for the charge of manslaughter.
On July 23, the homicide unit arrested Alma Zurawell and charged her. She was detained in custody.
The allegations have not been tested in court.
