Dog, puppies saved during 1 of 3 fires battled by Winnipeg firefighters in last 24 hours

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services says a dog and puppies were saved during one of three fires they battled over the last 24 hours.
WPS first responded to a vacant building fire along Pritchard Avenue around 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 24.
The fire was declared under control at 4:12 p.m., and no injuries were reported.
The second fire occurred just before 1:30 a.m. at a mixed-use building along Sargent Avenue.
Crews were able to see smoke coming from the building when they arrived at the scene, and were able to declare the blaze under control at 2:02 a.m.
No injuries were reported, and fire crews were able to save a dog and puppies.
The third fire happened around 4 a.m., as WFPS responded to another vacant house fire, time time along Flora Avenue.
Fire crews used a defensive attack, trying to limit the spread of the fire, and were able to declare it under control at 8:02 a.m.
No injuries were reported as a result.
All three fires are being investigated.
