Some roads will be closed over the weekend due to the Winnipeg Marathon.

The City of Winnipeg is advising motorists that they’ll need to seek alternate routes between 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, and 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 15.

Roads that will be impacted are as follows:

  • University Crescent between Chancellor Matheson Road and Pembina Highway — fully closed
  • Eastbound Jubilee Avenue from Pembina Highway — no access
  • Wellington Crescent — several partial closures

The City adds that single lanes of traffic will be affected on many roads between 2 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Also, noting that there will still be construction-related traffic along the Pembina Highway at Abinojii Mikanah.

Those who are planning on taking transit over the weekend are advised to follow Winnipeg Transit on X for more details and updates regarding routes that will be impacted by the marathon.
