Man attacked with rock near Upper Fort Garry park: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police say they are looking for two suspects after a man was allegedly assaulted with a rock downtown on Saturday afternoon.
The Winnipeg Police Service says the man was walking on Fort Street, after leaving Upper Fort Garry Landmark Park, when he was attacked by two men around 2:45 p.m.
Police allege one of the suspects was armed with a rock.
The 49-year-old victim was taken to hospital in stable condition. He told police he was confronted by the two unknown men while leaving the park.
The major crimes unit has taken over the investigation. Investigators are asking any witnesses to come forward.
