K9 Advocacy Manitoba provided an update on their efforts to send animal food to stranded animals that were left behind during wildfire evacuations in Pukatawagan.
The organization says they have thus far sent three pallets of food via train, and they have also brought in nearly 90 animals in the last 10 days.
In addition, they’ve sent food to the Manitoba Animal Shelter, Save a Dog Network, and Northern Manitoba Paws in Need.
While grateful for donation support from the community, the organization says they aren’t stopping, encouraging people to continue donating at various drop-off locations around Winnipeg, which can be found on the K9 Advocacy Manitoba Facebook page.
