House fire on Harvard Avenue in Winnipeg

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to a house fire late Thursday night in the 200 block of Harvard Avenue.

Crews were dispatched at 10:13 p.m. and arrived to find smoke coming from a two-storey, single-family home. Firefighters launched an interior attack and had the blaze under control by 10:50 p.m.

All residents had safely evacuated the home before emergency crews arrived.

No injuries were reported.

The City’s Emergency Social Services team was on site to assist displaced residents with temporary support.

Preliminary investigations suggest the fire was accidental, likely caused by an electrical malfunction.
