2 face multiple charges following drug bust in Winnipeg

The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) say two people have been charged in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.

WPS says their investigation began in February, and during that time, they were able to determine that drugs were being trafficked out of a home in the Burrows neighbourhood.

After officers searched a home along Aberdeen Avenue and a storage locker in the south end of Winnipeg on April 17, they were able to find and seize the following items:

  • Approximately 144 grams of cocaine (Estimated Street Value of $9,000)
  • Approximately 48 grams of fentanyl (Estimated Street Value of $8,000)
  • Approximately 18 grams of heroin (Estimated Street Value of $2,000)
  • Approximately 14 T3 pills (Estimated Street Value of $42)
  • Approximately $2,500 Canadian currency
  • A sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun, and applicable ammunition
  • Assorted ammunition
  • “Taser” type device
  • Drug operation/packaging materials
  • Identity documents
  • Cellphones

As a result of the seizures, officers say they were able to take 46-year-old Marcel Jules Vauclair and 44-year-old Nancy Jane Harper into custody on April 18.

Vauclair is facing 14 drug and firearm-related offences, while Harper is facing six drug-related offences.
