Winnipeg homicide police investigating West End death of Saskatchewan First Nation man

The death of a 30-year-old Saskatchewan First Nation man living in Winnipeg is being investigated as a homicide.

The Winnipeg Police Service says the man’s body was found on Wellington Avenue in the city’s West End on Friday morning.

Officers had been called to the scene shortly before 10 a.m. for the report of “suspicious circumstances.”

The victim has been identified as Bronson Emery Dale Kequahtooway, originally from Zagime Anishinabek First Nation in Saskatchewan.

The WPS homicide unit is investigating.
