Man killed in Manitoba winter ice road rollover

Police say a man is dead and another was seriously injured when their vehicle rolled over on the Fishing Lake winter ice road on Friday.

Little Grand Rapids RCMP says neither man was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Both were taken to the nursing stating with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say the 43-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the nursing station. The 41-year-old driver was airlifted to Winnipeg in critical condition, and later upgraded to stable.

Mounties are investigating with the help of a forensic collision reconstructionist.
