22-year-old woman arrested after pointing a gun at people in Winnipeg

Police arrested a young woman from Winnipeg after she pointed a gun at people at a restaurant.
Around midnight on Friday, the Winnipeg police responded to a report of an individual armed with a firearm in the 600 block of St. James Street.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers determined that a 22-year-old woman suspect was involved in a verbal altercation with several youth victims in front of a restaurant.
During the argument, the suspect allegedly assaulted one of the youths, who reacted, resulting in the woman falling to the ground.
The suspect then pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the youths, who notified staff of the restaurant.
No shots were fired, and no one was injured in the incident.
Police located the suspect in the 1800 block of Ellice Ave. two hours later and arrested her without incident.
A 22-year-old woman was charged with assault, carrying a concealed weapon and three counts of pointing a firearm.
She was released on an undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.
