Winnipeg police are sharing more information about the suspect wanted for murder in last September’s death of a 22-year-old Ontario man.
The Winnipeg Police Service says Chad Jason Dandan, 24, is believed to be driving a dark-coloured SUV. Authorities still believe he is in northern Manitoba.
Dandan is wanted for first-degree murder, kidnapping and extortion in the September 2024 murder of Zeyad Vifan Shammo.
Shammo was reported missing on Sept. 10, with police later alleging he was abducted. His body was found inside a home on Bristol Avenue Sept. 13.
Winnipeg police arrested two men who knew Shammo and charged them with first-degree murder, kidnapping, and extortion.
Dandan remains at large. He is described as five-foot-six with a medium build, weighing around 140 lbs.
He is believed to be armed and dangerous.
