Winnipeg man facing 68 charges in connections to string of thefts

Winnipeg police says a 27-year-old man has been charged with 68 offences in connection to a long string of thefts around the city.
WPS says they began an investigation into reported thefts in August 2024, most of which occurred in the south end of the city.
The thefts reportedly included wallets and clothing in an attempt to steal vehicles. It is believed between August 2024 and February 2025, around six vehicles were stolen along with various electronics and wallets.
On Feb. 12, investigators executed a search warrant at the home of the man believed to be involved, and police were able to take him into custody.
Since, 27-year-old Travis Freddie Ducharme has been charged with 68 offences including, theft of a vehicle, theft under $5,000, fraud under $5,000, uttering threats and several other offences.
