Winnipeg police issue warrant for man wanted in 2024 abduction and homicide

Winnipeg police say they are looking for a 24-year-old man who is wanted in connection to the homicide of Zeyad Vifan Shammo in September 2024.

WPS says on Sept. 10, officers responded to a report that Shammo had gone missing, which was later confirmed that he had been abducted.

Shammo was later found dead inside a home on Bristol Avenue on Sept. 13.

Police say investigators were able to identify two suspects who were known to Shammo, and both were taken into custody.

The investigation continued and a third suspect was also identified as 24-year-old Chad Jason Dandan, and a warrant has been issued.

Police believe Dandan might be in Northern Manitoba. He has been described as around 5’6″, with a medium build and weighing around 140 lbs.

He is believed to be armed and dangerous and police are urging the public that if he is spotted, do not approach him, contact 911 and reference WPS file: C24-161487.
