The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to two structure fires, on Saturday.
Both incidents were believed to be accidental.
David Street Fire
At 8:30 p.m., WFPS crews were called to the 600 block of David Street, where a vehicle fire had spread to a nearby house and garage.
The fire, believed to have been caused by a plugged-in block heater, was fully contained by 10:04 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
Residents are reminded to inspect block heaters and extension cords for signs of wear to prevent similar incidents.
Burnell Street Fire
Shortly after, at 9:23 p.m., WFPS responded to a fire at a two-storey home on the 500 block of Burnell Street.
Crews found smoke coming from the building and quickly contained the fire by 9:37 p.m.
All residents had safely evacuated before firefighters arrived.
Preliminary reports suggest an electrical malfunction as the cause.
No injuries were reported.
Both fires are under investigation.
