The Westdale Community Centre in Winnipeg was the target of anti-Semitic graffiti earlier this week, as multiple swastikas were spray-painted on the building during the final days of Hanukkah.
The community centre is located just south of Roblin Boulevard and east of the Perimeter Highway.
This is not the first time the centre has been vandalized; it was also the victim of similar graffiti in a separate incident last month.
The latest incident has prompted Premier Wab Kinew to speak out, calling it an act of hatred in a post on X. He joined Manitoba’s Jewish community in condemning the vandalism, stating that all Manitobans stand against antisemitism and all forms of hate.
Mayor Scott Gillingham also took to social media, condemning the act as blatant antisemitism. He urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the Winnipeg Police Service.
