One Winnipeg firefighter was injured after crews put out a fire in a single-storey, commercial building on Thursday, in the 900 block of Main Street.
At around 2:35 a.m., firefighters arrived at the scene, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from inside the building.
Officials say, crews completed a search of the building, and no occupants were found, and no other injuries were reported.
The fire was declared under control at 4:48 a.m.
Residents are asked to use caution in the area, as water used to fight the fire has frozen and created slippery conditions, says the City of Winnipeg.
City of Winnipeg say they will have crews monitoring conditions and applying sand and de-icing agents to roadways and sidewalks as required to improve traction.
The fire is under investigation.
