Meta experiencing widespread outage of social media sites

Both social media sites run by Meta, Facebook and Instagram, are experiencing a widespread service outage.

Meta says it is dealing with a technical problem that is impacting the sites.

There’s currently no timeframe for a fix, but the company says it is working to bring normal service back as soon as possible.

We’re aware that a technical issue is impacting some users’ ability to access our apps. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience.
