Environment Canada is warning Winnipeg and most of southern Manitoba of snowfall Sunday, saying up to 20 centimetres of snow is expected.
The weather agency says around 10 to 20 cm of snowfall is expected, along with blowing snow in some areas, which will create poor visibility.
The heaviest portion of snowfall is expected to taper off Sunday night, however, lighter snow is expected to last into Monday.
Anyone planning to commute is advised to be extra cautious as road conditions may vary.
Within Winnipeg, city crews are already preparing to salt roads.
Additionally, the City of Winnipeg is reminding all drivers that the annual winter route parking ban is in effect. The parking ban means no parking between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. on any street designated as a winter route.
