Winnipeg suspect in 2021 attempted murders in West Broadway among Canada’s most-wanted fugitives once again

A suspect wanted by Winnipeg police in connection with attempted murders in 2021 in West Broadway is once among Canada’s most wanted fugitives.

Yusuf Abdulqadir Ali, 28, is wanted on two counts of attempted murder and several firearms offences.

He was included in the 12th spot on the national Bolo Program’s list of top 25 fugitives on Wednesday.

Ali is described as six-foot-three, weighing 235 lbs. with a medium build. Winnipeg police say he is “gang-affiliated and involved in the drug subculture,” is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Police say two men, aged 29 and 35, sustained life-threatening gunshot wounds during the Nov. 25, 2021, incident on Furby Street near Sara Avenue. Both victims were taken to hospital in critical condition, where they later recovered from their injuries.

Ali was previously included on the Bolo top 25 list in April.

The Bolo Program is an initiative encouraging citizens to be on the lookout for Canada’s most wanted.

Canada’s top fugitives are Dave Turmel (Quebec City), All Boivin (Saguenay), Rabih Alkhalil (B.C.), Adrian Walker (Toronto), and Phillip Grant (Toronto).
