Train derails after collision with semitruck: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police says part of Fermor Avenue near the Perimeter Highway is closed due to a collision involving a train causing a derailment.
WPS responded to a report that a train had derailed after colliding with a semi-truck. As a result of the collision, the train derailed.
Police say all southbound lanes at Fermor are closed, and only one northbound lane is open.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
