Body pulled from Red River in September identified as 29-year-old Winnipeg man

Police in Manitoba say the body that was pulled from the Red River in September has been identified as a 29-year-old Winnipeg man.

Selkirk RCMP say the man was reported missing to the Winnipeg Police Service on Oct. 8 – two-and-a-half weeks after his body was found.

Following an investigation and autopsy results, Mounties believe there was no criminal element to the man’s death.

The body was recovered from the Red River near the Henderson Highway in the RM of East St Paul on Sept. 21.
