Man charged after assault in mobile home on Augier Avenue

Winnipeg police say a 39-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly attacked another man on Sunday.
WPS says officers responded to reports of the incident around 9:10 p.m. along Augier Avenue near the Glendale Golf and Country Club.
When officers arrived at the scene, they were directed to a mobile home, where they then had to force entry, and found a 42-year-old man suffering from serious upper-body injuries.
A man who they say was behaving erratically was also found inside the mobile home and was taken into custody.
The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition, and he has been upgraded to stable.
Through an investigation, police learned that both men were in the mobile home when, for unknown reasons, one armed himself with a metal object and allegedly began assaulting the other, rendering him unconscious.
Police also noted that both men were previously known to each other.
Cody Thomas Gross has been charged with aggravated assault.
