Investigation underway after armed incident on Winnipeg transit bus

The Winnipeg Police Service is investigating an incident involving an armed suspect on a transit bus that occurred early Friday. Police responded to a report at approximately 12:23 a.m. near Graham Avenue and Smith Street, where multiple male suspects were seen handling what appeared to be a firearm.

During the incident, a physical altercation broke out on the bus, during which the firearm was pointed indiscriminately. The armed suspect then demanded to be let off the bus, a request granted by the operator.

The suspects fled the scene before police arrived, and no injuries were reported.

The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
