Harvest Manitoba issues warning over scam using their name

Harvest Manitoba is issuing a warning to the public regarding a scam, where people are door-knocking claiming to be the company.

In a post to “X”, the company says that they were informed that individuals had been door-knocking and claiming that they were collecting food and donations on behalf of Harvest Manitoba.

However, Harvest Manitoba says they don’t conduct any door-to-door solicitations.

The warning notes that the company only takes donations directly at their drop-off locations, which include yellow bins at most grocery stores, or online.

Anyone who believes they may be a victim of any crime is asked to contact their local police station via their non-emergency line.
