Winnipeg security guard charged with assault in bar in August

Winnipeg police say they have arrested a 42-year-old man in connection to an assault at a downtown bar in the 400 block of Main Street.
According to police, the incident occurred on August 30th, around 11:30 p.m. An 18-year-old is said to have been smoking on a bar patio when she was confronted by security staff.
An argument ensued leading to a physical altercation, during which the women fell to the ground.
At this time, the security guard allegedly knocked her unconscious leaving the young woman in need of medical treatment.
The security guard is facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm and has since been released on an undertaking.
