One dead after vehicle collides with semi on Trans-Canada Highway east of Winnipeg

Manitoba RCMP says one person is dead following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 1 near the RM of Tache.
Mounties say they responded to a report of a collision around 1:40 a.m. between Road 27E and Road 28E.
It is believed that a vehicle was heading west in the eastbound lane when it collided with a semi-truck that was driving east.
After the collision, both vehicles entered the ditch and caught fire.
RCMP says the driver of the vehicle was killed during the collision, and they have not been identified at this time.
The driver and a passenger who were in the semi were treated for minor injuries.
RCMP says they are investigating the collision.
