Winnipeg man charged for making 3D-printed guns
Winnipeg police have charged a 40-year-old man following an investigation into 3D-printed guns.
WPS says on Sept. 26, Firearms Investigation and Enforcement Unit (FIEU) investigators took a man into custody and executed a search warrant at a home he was linked to on Beresford Avenue.
During the search, investigators were able to find and seize the following items:

- Laptop Computer x 2
- Desktop Computer
- 3D-printed Baton
- 3D-printed Electrical Discharge Device x 3 (in various states of production)
- Various 3D-printed Parts
- 3D-printed .22 Calibre Handgun
- .22 Calibre Primers and Ammunition
- Multiple 3D-printed Imitation Firearms (Missile Launcher, Machine Guns, Pistol)
- Manufacturing Tools
Since, 40-year-old Jay Jonathan of Winnipeg has been charged with 11 charges, including two counts of weapons trafficking, possession of a weapon, three counts of possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon knowing its possession is unauthorized, to name a few.
