Saskatchewan man charged for keeping women against their will: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police have charged a 46-year-old man from Saskatchewan after two women were reportedly held against their will.
On Sept. 16, WPS went to a home in the western part of Winnipeg after receiving a report that two women were being held against their will.
Officers attended the home and were able to find both women. Police note while in the home, officers also found a large amount of illicit drugs, including Methamphetamine, cocaine, Xanax, Psilocybin mushrooms, Fentanyl, and cannabis.
Additionally, officers also found and seized a loaded sawed-off .22 calibre rifle, a 9mm Glock handgun, bear spray and other ammunition.
Police claim they also found signs of human trafficking in the home.
During a subsequent investigation, officers learned one of the women met a man through a dating app while in a neighbouring province. It is believed that the man led the woman to believe they were in a relationship, then took her and a friend to Manitoba.
Once in Manitoba, the man allegedly made both women become escorts, which included creating and posting social media advertisements that offered sexual services.
On Sept. 18, WPG took 46-year-old Randy Norman Hamilton into custody and have charged him with 16 charges including trafficking in persons, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and sexual assault, to name a few.
