WFPS members battle fire on Nairn Avenue Tuesday night

Fire crews responded to a fire in a vacant bungalow in the 300 block of Nairn Avenue.

On Tuesday evening, around 10:45 p.m., WFPS members attended the home and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure.

Fire crews initially applied water to the fire from the exterior until it was safe to enter before they transitioned to an interior fire attack and declared the fire under control at 11:14 p.m.

There were no injuries reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
