3 Winnipeggers killed in crash on Highway 23

Police say three people from Winnipeg died in a highway crash south of the city on Tuesday afternoon.

St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP say the victims are a 31-year-old man, a 32-year-old man and a woman who has yet to be identified. A 32-year-old woman was transported to hospital with serious injuries, where she remains in stable condition.

Police say all four were in the same vehicle going north on Provincial Road 200 when the driver allegedly failed to stop at the intersection of Highway 23 and was struck by an SUV going west around 4:25 p.m.

The driver of the SUV, a 43-year-old man from Mitchell, was not physically injured.

RCMP are investigating.
