New community space set to open in Winnipeg’s downtown

A new community space in Winnipeg’s downtown is set to open soon.

All three levels of government and various community groups celebrated the Main and Henry Community Space, a newly developed area which is located right next to the Circle of Life Thunderbird House.

The new space includes a paved concrete plaza, with seating and picnic tables, upgraded lighting, trees and other various amenities.

The community space will complete the public washroom project, which opened in 2023. The area is meant to be a welcoming space for anyone in the community.
