2 charged in fatal shooting in Winnipeg

Winnipeg police say two men have been charged in connection to homicide on Wednesday night.

WPS says around 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting along Redwood Avenue.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man, who was later identified as 32-year-old Colin Jessie Bernardin Hebert suffering from serious injuries. Emergency medical care was provided and the Bernardin Hebert was taken to a hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police have charged 36-year-old Pierre Flett and 32-year-old Jared Jackson Bushie with second-degree murder.

Flett has also been charged with possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, five counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, possession of methamphetamine, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle, three counts of failing to comply with conditions of a release order and two warrants for failing to comply with conditions of a release order.
