Escaped Manitoba Youth Centre inmates arrested: police

Winnipeg police say two inmates who escaped police custody while on an escorted leave from the Manitoba Youth Centre on Monday evening have been arrested.

The Winnipeg Police Service says the 19-year-olds were participating in a community program in the city’s North End when they fled from corrections officers.

Police say they were arrested “without incident” on Tuesday evening. They were detained in custody.
