Winnipeg woman dead after being hit by vehicle in West End: police

A 32-year-old Winnipeg woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle in the West End early Monday morning.
The Winnipeg Police Service says the woman was walking near Notre Dame Avenue and McPhillips Street shortly after midnight when she was hit.
She was taken to hospital in unstable condition, where she died of her injuries.
Police say the driver of the vehicle remained on scene and spoke with investigators.
