The Manitoba RCMP says one of the seven individuals who were charged last week in connection to a child exploitation investigation has had his charges stayed.
The RCMP said Friday morning that its Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit determined that 34-year-old Scott Joseph Taylor was not involved in the case.

Mounties had reportedly searched his home in Portage la Prairie based on information that indicated he was linked to the child exploitation. During the search, Mounties found and seized firearms.
Due to the fact Taylor was not involved in the initial investigation, all charges were stayed, meaning that the trial will not go ahead because a judge or the crown feels it would be unlawful to do so.
The RCMP says its investigation into the child exploitation is ongoing, and since it held its press conference on July 9, three additional victims have come forward.
