The life of Ray St. Germain, the Métis singer-songwriter and television personality nicknamed “Winnipeg’s Elvis,” was celebrated on Saturday.

The man known for his uncanny vocal likeness to Elvis Presley, the king of rock ‘n’ roll, was remembered with a public ceremony that included family, friends and the wider community at Calvary Temple.

St. Germain was also known for hosting the nationally syndicated music program “Big Sky Country”. He was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010.
