Marathon, annual maintenance to close some Winnipeg roads

Winnipeg roads are expected to see a couple of closures starting this weekend.

The annual Manitoba Marathon is set this weekend in Winnipeg.

Several roads will be reduced to single-lane traffic, and three roads will be completely closed from 2 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 16.

The off-ramp from Pembina Highway to Jubilee Avenue, University Crescent from Chancellor Matheson Road to Pembina Highway, and Chancellor Matheson Road from Research Way to University Crescent will all be closed.

In addition, starting June 17, the Louise Bridge will be closed for annual maintenance.

The bridge will be closed from 6 a.m. on Monday until 6 p.m. on Friday, June 28.

Pedestrian access will remain available on one side of the bridge throughout the road closure.
