Manitoba RCMP at rural property where suspected remains of infant found

Manitoba RCMP are investigating after what appear to be remains of an infant were found in an area north of Winnipeg. 

Police were called Monday to a property off Highway 6 in the rural municipality of Grahamdale. 

Forensic officers, a canine unit and an anthropology team are at the site.

Police say the identity of the remains is unknown, and they continue to investigate.

Grahamdale is a community of about 1,200 in the Interlake region.
