Police looking for man in alleged sexual assault in Richmond West neighbourhood

Winnipeg police are looking for the individual responsible for an alleged sexual assault on June 2.

WPS says around 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a sexual assault at Kirkbridge Park in the Richmond West neighbourhood.

It is believed that a woman in her 20s was walking home from a bus stop on Pembina Highway, through Kirkbridge Park, when she was pushed to the ground by an unknown man and sexually assaulted.

The man reportedly fled on a bicycle after the incident, and the woman contacted police.

Speaking to the woman, investigators say the man they are looking for is around 5’8″, and is an average build. At the time, he was wearing all black, with a black baseball style cap, and black pants. He was also wearing a “COVID-type” mask.
