Man in hospital after being stabbed near University of Winnipeg

Winnipeg police say a man is in hospital after being stabbed Thursday morning.
WPS responded to a report around 8:45 a.m., that a passenger on a bus witnessed a man stab another man, before riding away on a bike.
Police responded to the area near Portage Avenue and Balmoral Street and found a man in his 30s “bleeding profusely.”
Officers provided emergency medical care before paramedics arrived and took the man to a hospital in unstable condition. He was later upgraded to stable.
The man told police he had been robbed of his bike and stabbed by an unknown man.
