Winnipeg police say a woman is in hospital after being hit by a vehicle along the Pembina Highway near McGillivray Boulevard Saturday afternoon.
Around 2:10 p.m. on May 25, officers and the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service arrived at the scene, and paramedics began treating a 19-year-old woman.
WFPS took the woman to hospital in unstable condition, and she was later upgraded to stable.
Police say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and spoke to investigators.
At this time, it is believed that the woman ran into traffic at the time she was hit, and left the driver no time to avoid the collision.
Police are asking if anyone has any information, to contact investigators at 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
WPS note charges are not expected at this time.
