Winnipeg police looking to identify man found by officers

Winnipeg police are turning to the public for help identifying a person who was found by officers Monday morning.

WPS says around 10:30 a.m., a man was found near Baylor Avenue and Dalhousie Drive.

Police say he was walking in the area at the time and was not able to tell anyone where he lives.

He is reportedly non-verbal, which has led to officers not being able to confirm his identity or where to take him.

Police have described him as a young adult or in his late teens. He is thin, 5’11”, with short black hair and a thin mustache.

At the time officers found him, he was wearing a grey ribbed golf shirt and black Adidas gold-striped track pants.

He was also reportedly not wearing any shoes or socks and has a band-aid on the middle toe of his right foot.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the description, to contact the missing persons unit at 204-986-6250.
