Woman dies after being struck by vehicle near Portage and Woodhaven

Winnipeg police say one person is dead after being struck by a car Sunday night.

WPS responded to a report of a vehicle-pedestrian collision around 10:45 p.m., near Portage Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard.

The woman was taken to hospital in critical condition by Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service. It was later confirmed she had died from her injuries.

Police note the driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and spoke to police.

Investigators are asking if anyone has any information regarding the collision to contact 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
